have been born and raised in a family of 17. I lived in Delano, California for the time of my 21 years. Here’s what I can remember from my experiences. It started when I first saw this man with a brown rain coat and a hat. It was around 1998 at our first house here in Delano. From then on I would see these shadow figures. Though it would be on different months, and as the years went by until this month and year.
Around April, 2005, I was sleeping this one night, and for some reason I just woke up and couldn’t move. Seconds later, I felt like something was scratching my back. After all that happened that night, I had strange dreams that I have never had. A couple months later it happened again while I was asleep, but this time it was different. As I woke, I tried screaming again, but nothing came out. Seconds later, my legs had this electric feeling and I was being pulled down because I had slept with my right knee facing the ceiling. As it was being pulled down, I heard the laughter of little kids at the bottom of my right leg area.
Then there was 2006, the month I can’t remember. I came home one day from a function that night. As I had a tissue in my hand because we ate after the function. After I threw that tissue in the garbage can, for some reason I looked straight to the backyard, and there I saw shadow figure of a little girl. The figure looked like it was wearing a dress that was puffy at the bottom. As I was staring at it, tears were falling from my eyes, I guess out of fear.
The same year, I woke again not being able to move or scream, just stare. I woke up just staring at my door with this shadow figure of a woman. I could tell because I could still see long hair and the shape of a woman. She was just staring at me for minutes, then just disappeared.
Come 2007, it was still happening, but it was different again. It started when I was coming home from a church function around midnight. As my friends were dropping me off, I saw the figure of a tall, bald, skinny, light-skinned man standing at least 15 feet from the doorway. When we turned to make a little U-turn in front of my house, I saw it walking to go inside my house. What freaked me out was when I went inside after it disappeared, I asked my siblings if anyone came in before me, and they all said no.
Then a year later it happened again, around 2008. It happened the same way waking up, just lying there only able to move my eyes. I then saw my brother playing video games while he was sitting on the living room floor because I was sleeping in the living room. As I looked to my right, I saw this strand of green hair, but no figure. As I looked toward my brother trying to scream and looked back, it disappeared.
Going toward the end of 2008, I would see the shadow figures. This time they were all the shape of a man. What’s strange is that this figure was the first one to walk. I remember just waking up to it and it walked toward my closet while it was looking at me. All I was able to do was stare and lie there.
Then came 2009, the beginning of this year it was something different that started it off. I was sleeping in my parents’ room because I had fallen asleep with my disabled brother. I woke up the same way, but staring at the altar we have of Jesus and Mother Mother as well as a San Ta Nino figure. I woke up looking at it, then my eyes looked left five feet from the restroom. I saw this white, bright light saying, “Sarah.” Then months later I never saw that figure again. Instead the shadows came back.
The recent experience was the worst. The date was earlier this morning around 2 a.m., I believe, November 28, 2009. It started when I woke with a shadow figure of a man that looked medium-sized staring at me one foot away. As I was just looking at it, I didn’t bother trying to scream, just thinking it’s happening again. This in my head, I was saying What do you want? It then got worse. As I was looking at it and as I said that question, I saw it just rush into me. Then my eyes closed. I could feel my body shaking as I started to hear this ringing noise and then a pop in my right ear. After that I just fell back to sleep.
