Tuen Mun Road ghost chasing my car
First of all my names is David and have lived in Hong Kong for just over 10 years. I was brought up in Hong Kong and attended an international catholic school, so I would say I’m more Christian than not, but I’ve never been to a church in my life. I never really had a thought about ghosts ever existing but the number of times I’ve encountered unexplainable things really has made me accept the fact that ghosts do exists.
I live in the New Territories so I always go past the Tuen Mun Road. Over the years, I’ve seen many and experienced many unexpected activities.
My first ghost or if you want to call it, paranormal experience happened in 1999. It was a late and chilly night in June when I just finished work and driving back home on the Tuen Mun Road. I had a few drinks(which is wrong) so I drove slowly. At the same time I was listening to disco music to keep myself awake. After a minute or so, driving on the expressway, I looked at my side mirror and saw what looked like a white woman following my car very closely . I glanced at the speed meter and saw I was driving 90km p/h. I was thinking, “Have I gone mad? How the hell does a woman run 90km per hour.” I looked again, and saw that woman getting closer and closer. I started to panic and drove quicker. I was driving up to 120km p/h and I looked again at the side mirror, but I didn’t need to look at the side mirror to see it, it was running right beside me. At that point I totally freaked out.
I saw the face of the woman, but I couldn’t see her eyes, they were two hollow holes, it seemed she didn’t have a nose as it was a black hole, the only thing I could see was her mouth, It was giving me a creepy grin. During the few seconds, I started to match what this thing was, and I couldn’t contemplate what it was. In my head, I was in total shocked and it took time to really remember I was still driving. When I looked forward, it was a sharp turn and I quickly braked, but my car swivelled. At the point I thought I was going to die. At that moment I heard a very high pitched laughter sound like some woman was right behind my car seat and laughing to my ears. The pitch was so high that I couldn’t even think about anything else at this decisive moment and I lost conscience.
The next time when I woke up I thought I had left this world but I looked up seeing my then girlfriend, I had never been happier to see her in my life. I tried to move every part of my body to see if there were any dysfunctional parts, but to my surprise I didn’t even feel sore, It just felt like waking up in the morning. Then I started to notice pain in my ears. The police told me I ended up smashing into the concrete barriers and my car had flipped and tumbled over at least 5 times. The doctors were surprised I did not have any injury to me body except my ear drums were badly damaged.
I left hospital within 2 days, but my ear drums took 3 months to recover. Ever since then, I’ve been able to hear unexplainable and strange voices. For example, while I was working and the cafe was closed I would always hear voices behind me chattering but when I wanted to turn around to say sorry we’re closed, there was no one there.
